Nina Aksnes

Nina Aksnes believes every soul on earth has a right to nurture their body with good fuel: real ingredients, good nutrients, and positive vibes. “Our eating habits are vital to live a fulfilling life,” she says.

She grew up in Norway with a mother who let her explore in the kitchen. Her mother always made everything from scratch; Aksnes can't remember ever having a premade bag of anything in their home. It gave her a solid foundation of what goes together, and how to make all the basics. Everything her mother did, she lovingly let Aksnes participate in, even though, like all kids, she made her fair share of messes.

After Aksnes and her husband met, she started exploring more with optimizing the health aspects, as well as making their food even tastier. They experienced first hand what a wonderful impact real organic food had on their bodies.

For over a decade Aksnes worked with the Health Optimizing group, which was founded by her husband, Thomas Aksnes. It allowed her to see real-life results on their clients, and how much of an impact lifestyle and food has on the body. The observations made her even more curious about how different foods can make measurable positive or negative impact.

Aksnes has a soul-deep passion for food and lifestyle, and a vision of reaching and helping as many people as possible. She has done a lot of intuitive cooking, using ingredients she has in her pantry and combining the different flavors and textures into something new. “Besides being fun,” she says, “I've collected a lot of wows along the way. My experiences have led me to my passion, Nina's Healthy Kitchen.”

Her vision is to contribute to making the world healthier; to inspire and encourage healthy, easy, tasty and fun cooking; to empower the belief that everyone truly deserve healthy food; and to be a trusted voice for healthy cooking, creating a global change.
