Summary

The theme for 2009 ISSSEEM conference was "Sacred Synthesis: Science with Heart." ISSSEEM is an interdisciplinary society with interest in the energetic component within many disciplines including quantum physics, therapeutic modalities, healing, psychology, consciousness, and the understanding of our multidimensional existence. ISSSEEM is a connected community dedicated to subtle living energies as they relate to the experience of consciousness, healing and human potential.

Individuals drawn to this unique community of healers, teachers, researchers and pioneers come to connect with like-minded professionals; others join questing knowledge that sparks remembrance. Many share a desire to improve the applications of subtle energies and energy medicine and to keep high standards for research, professional practice, peer review, ethics and education.

At every level of its organization and activities, ISSSEEM is service-minded, heart-centered and dedicated to excellence. It embodies integrity and trust, is open to inspiration and guidance, invites synthesis, honors the power of the arts, fosters dialogue and collective wisdom, and encourages and supports individual growth.

ISSSEEM conferences live up to the challenge of bridging science and spirit. Presentations by respected lecturers including Deepak Chopra and James Oschman confirmed this purpose. Dr. Oschman relayed how we have all had profound moments, moments that forever change our lives. Whether a chance meeting, a dream, a flash of insight, or a song, they come when we least expect them. We compose the symphony of life by sharing our personal stories, the music of our hearts. Rustom Roy pointed out it is time to recognize the reality of the makeup of the whole person as an interactive, intimate, mixture of body, mind and spirit. Rich evidence of human healing via spiritual and mental vectors is so compelling that only systemic suppression has kept it from wider acceptance. Dramatic, irrefutable data supporting the mind/spirit vectors that cause healing was highlighted-simply spectacular cases. Mae Won Ho explained Quantum jazz by describing the quantum coherent organism in which every single molecule is spontaneous and free yet perfectly in step with the whole. This remarkable state of being depends on the liquid crystalline water matrix that allows each molecule to intercommunicate with every other, creating the most exquisite light and sound displays that span 70 octaves and all the colors of the rainbow.
