Dr. Stephen Sinatra

Dr. Stephen Sinatra is a cardiologist who has discovered that better heart health can be achieved through natural means. He believes in pharmaceutical drugs when they are needed, but also promotes the idea that feeding the body the nutrients it needs goes a long way in the prevention of cardiovascular disease. He has an extensive line of supplements which he markets to help people help themselves nutritionally. At certain times during the year, Dr. Sinatra holds meetings for people who subscribe to his online e-letters and his newsletters. This time it was in Orlando, Florida on October 1, 2009

He started our talking about "Earthing" by walking barefoot. This activity is equivalent to taking antioxidants. The supplement CoQ10 is an electron donator. If the body looses the battle of oxidative stress cells and vessels age. Carnitine, vitamin E, CoQ10, high vitamin D, all help deal with this oxidation process. Cholesterol in the skin activates the sun's rays to makes vitamin D. But as mentioned earlier, you can also walk barefoot on the beach.

To counter anti-aging, people can sleep on a grounding pad/mattress. Sleeping on such a pad allows the body to take on electrons, but also activates the parasympathetic nervous system and reduces stress. To protect against aging, take antioxidants, eat healthy food and drink healthy water.

Dr. Sinatra is coming out with a new book called Doctor's Kitchen. In it he lists foods for specific illnesses. For example: for cancer, lycopene in tomatoes and celphorophane in broccoli are synergistic together. The book is about natural foods, not supplements. Dr. Sinatra recommends a diet which is 80-90 percent vegetarian. He recommends lots of raw foods, vegetables and nuts all with natural enzymes.

Dr. Sinatra discussed the program developed by Gabriel Cousens which will be in the Sinatra January 2010 Newsletter. He did an interview with Cousens regarding reversing diabetes with a raw food diet. FAIM has included a video about Gabriel Cousen's clinic in the Diabetes category. This protocol changes the phenotypic gene expression of diabetes. Sinatra shared his belief that cow's milk causes type 1 diabetes in kids. Wheat and dairy are the two most potent offenders. In children with diabetes, cow's milk destroys the pancreas.

Other book, Earthing, will also be coming out. As mentioned above, you can walk on the grass, beach, and also on the basement floor to benefit from the ion transfer. The important thing is that you must be barefoot. The beach is beneficial because the electrical connection is stronger with salt water. Skin conductance changes when the body is grounded immediately. Other options for grounding are mattress pads for bed and sandals. The goal is to be grounded 18 out of the 24 hours in a day. According to Sinatra, if this is accomplished, most illnesses will go away.
