Fred Gallo, PhD

Dr. Gallo has been a practicing clinical psychologist since 1974. In addition to his Gallo & Associates practice, he is on staff at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) at Horizon and the Children’s Aid Society of Mercer County.

Since 1993, he has written and presented extensively on Energy Psychology. In addition to numerous manuals, journal articles and book chapters, he has written 8 books. The field of Energy Psychology was named and introduced in his 1998 book, Energy Psychology.

Dr. Gallo is the developer of Energy Consciousness Therapy (ECT)™, which integrates principles of energy, thought, consciousness, and spirituality into a therapeutic-communication methodology and the Identity Method (IM)™, which involves focused mindfulness to treat and transcend psychological problems, including global ego states or controlling identities.

He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Pennsylvania Psychological Association (PPA), and an advisory board member of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP).
