Dr. Zheng Cui
Dr. Cui was invited to dinner with the Foundation for Alternative and Integrative Medicine (FAIM) staff to discuss his research at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, where he has discovered an extraordinarily cancer resistant mouse. Dr. Cui explained his recent research and showed a video of a cancer cell being destroyed by immune cells. Dr. Cui is planning a human clinical trial and is seeking funding for the trial. Dr. Cui estimates the human clinical trial will cost several million dollars.
The following is an article describing Dr. Cui's discovery. It appeared in the Fall/Winter 2003 Visions publication of Wake Forest University: The Mouse That Roared: The story of a mouse that couldn't get cancer (PDF).
